Working at ʻĀina Force
ʻĀina Force helps Hawaiʻi Island homeowners navigate cesspool conversion through clear information, homeowner support, and coordination with independent licensed professionals. Our work depends on meeting people, understanding their needs, and following through.
Where we work
Our homeowner-facing roles are primarily in person across Hawaiʻi Island. Work includes visiting homes, meeting homeowners, connecting with local professionals, and supporting community outreach.
Team members work from home for administrative tasks, calls, and follow-ups when in-person attendance is not needed. These roles require being on Hawaiʻi Island and traveling to scheduled appointments. Specific travel expectations will be explained during hiring.
Flexible scheduling
We offer flexible working hours around homeowner appointments, community activities, and team responsibilities. Team members have flexibility to organize their work while keeping appointments, meeting agreed deadlines, and communicating their availability.
Some appointments may require particular hours. Scheduling expectations are discussed for each role.
Training and support
We provide training to help team members understand our coordination role, communicate clearly with homeowners, and use the tools needed for their work.
ʻĀina Force coordinates the conversion process. Independent licensed professionals handle technical services such as engineering, installation, pumping, and permitting. Team members are expected to direct technical questions to the appropriate professional.
Mileage reimbursement
We offer mileage reimbursement for approved business travel. Eligible trips, reimbursement rates, and recordkeeping requirements will be explained before travel begins.
How we work with homeowners
We expect team members to treat homeowners and their property with respect, protect personal information, explain next steps clearly, and follow through on commitments. When an answer needs confirmation, we check with the appropriate person before giving guidance.
Role-specific details
Each job posting and offer will explain the role’s responsibilities, work location, schedule, travel requirements, and applicable benefits. See our open roles.
