ʻĀina Force
A freshwater stream winding through lava rock and tropical forest into the ocean

Careers

Join the launch team.

ʻĀina Force is assembling a practical, locally grounded team to help Hawaiʻi Island homeowners move from cesspools to approved onsite wastewater systems.

Big Island cesspool conversion pilot

Our pilot brings engineering, field construction, permitting, homeowner support, funding coordination, supplier relationships, and disciplined administration into one coordinated experience.

Our focus is straightforward: safe work, regulatory compliance, respectful homeowner service, reliable execution, and responsible environmental stewardship.

Our hiring philosophy

A small, hands-on team.

We are building a launch team whose members can collaborate across functions while staying firmly within their professional scope. We value:

  • Safety and sound judgment
  • Respect for homeowners, neighbors, and Hawaiʻi Island communities
  • Clear, plain-language communication
  • Consistent follow-through and strong documentation
  • Early, honest communication when a problem or constraint appears
  • Environmental responsibility and care for place
  • Practical teamwork without sacrificing quality or compliance

Direct septic or wastewater experience is valuable, but it is not the only path to joining the team.

Strong adjacent experience in civil construction, excavation, utilities, permitting, housing, public programs, finance, procurement, bookkeeping, or community service may translate well.

What we are building together.

This pilot needs people who can pair professional discipline with care for homeowners and community. The work will be visible, hands-on, and collaborative. Every team member — whether full-time, part-time, or contract — helps set the standard for how ʻĀina Force serves Hawaiʻi Island.
